The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody and also "speech" by typing in the script of the required words. Backed by the Yamaha Corporation, it developed the software into the commercial product "Vocaloid" that was released in 2004.

UPDATE: 11/8/18 I CAN DO VOCALOID 5 CONVERSIONS IF YOU LIKE! Apparently they are in VPR format.so they won't be compatible with any of the older versions of VOCALOID, no fear! Vocaloid 2,3 and 4 formats are compatible with the new program but conversions are open for ust files! Older VOCALOID files just open up in VOCALOID 5 normally, they work just fine! UPDATE: Please understand that at the moment I am making new folders for the database so you don't have to request access anymore, I will make new links, in the meantime I apologise for any inconvenience caused and update when the changes have been finalised. The reason for this is that the owner has requested that I do not share them so I keep those for my own private storage, please understand and acknowledge their decision. UPDATE: Enjoy the new links and flexible access, there are new songs listed and some changes, some songs will be blocked off as private for a reason.
